[1] Practice Changes for thisWeek:
There will be meets this weekend at the CISD Natatorium:
Practice Changes:
Saturday February 20: Practice will be at Northampton from 9
– 10:30am
Sunday, February 21: Practice at Northampton at 1:00 –
2:30pm
Practice
changes are also posted on the home page of our website: www.wmst.net. If there is any
question about whether practices will be held, please check the
postings. They will be kept up to date as much as
possible.
[2]Punch Card Holders: The
Team Administrator will be out of town at the end of February
through early March and we do not have a backup administrator to
take over, therefore, Punch Card renewals will not be
processed from February 23 to March 7.
Anyone
wishing to renew their Punch Card during this time please email
your request before Monday, February
22.
Please
remember that Punch Card holders who forget their card or who run
out of punches before the new card is issued may pay the drop in
fee ($8.00). WMST members may charge the drop-in fee to their
account by signing an authorization sheet in the coaches’
notebook.
The absence
will not affect Monthly Pass Card holders. New Monthly Pass Cards
for the month of March will be issued on February
23.
Anyone
wishing to volunteer as a backup Administrator, please let Tom Boak
or a Board Member know.

- Volunteers needed for Short Course Zones
Woodlands Masters Swim
Team is hosting the 2010 South Central Zone
Championships April 9-11, 2010. We need volunteers in the
following areas - Head Timer and 16 timers for Friday night during
mile (rest of the me et
will be timed by the Northampton Cu da's Summer League
Team), help with selling sponsorships (now until meet), help
with hospitality (Fri, Sat, Sun), help with registration (6-8
people Fri, Sat, Sun). Please email Tom Boak at tboakjr@comcast.net if
you are willing to help.

[4] Go the Extra Mile Distance Event at the
Natatorium. This is a
focus event for triathletes’ swim leg of the race. The two
events offered will be the 400m and the 1500m free, and WMST
members are encouraged to attend. Anyone (including tris!) who has
not yet completed the 1650 Postal may use the 1500m race. Please
bring split sheets for the timer to fill out. See this link for

Swim
There
will be a lane or two available during the Sunday February 28
practice for anyone who would like to complete the 1650 Postal
swim. You must bring a stop watch, someone to time you, (maybe
someone to swap swimming and timing positions), and a split sheet:

The cost is
$10, and it can be charged to your online billing account. T-shirts
are available for $16 (they will be mailed to us), in sizes Small,
Medium, Large, and XLarge. Please write on your split sheet if you
would like a t-shirt and what size.
